Screwiest plumbing I've ever seen!

Some time ago I bought new lavatory faucets for the MH. Today I got under there and inspected the old ones (which I should have done in the first place). Instead of the threaded shafts on each side for hot and cold, which is normal, those things have 1/4" copper pipe coming out each hole, with a fitting to connect to the PEX tubing, AND a bolt coming through the same hole with a wing nut on the bottom to hold the faucet in place!

I called Monaco parts and of course these haven't been available in years! It appears the holes through to top of the lavatory are the standard 4" spacing, so I'm hoping I can still use the new faucets.

Have any of you encountered this mess before?

I have replaced a couple of faucets recently - one in the Monaco and one at home. The new faucets came with the supply lines attached to the faucets as you described, and both had nuts that attached from the bottom to secure the faucet.

Matt, you're describing my new faucets, not the old ones. They only have a small bolt with the wing nut, not the threaded shafts with the water lines in the center of them.

If the faucet you purchased are the style with threaded shafts with washer and nut to fasten faucet to underside of counter top there is no reason you cannot use it and adapt flex connections to the existing PEX with the proper PEX connectors.

Being a licensed plumbing contractor myself, doublechevy is right. You can make anything work with the right connections/fittings.
And BTW, I really do like what you did to your entry door with the gas opener/closer. That alone tells me you will be able to figure out your plumbing issue.

I ran into a similar problem at home. I bought a kitchen faucet and it went in fine but the short and long pipes were reversed. Nuts. I took it back, all the other faucets were made the same way. The one I was replacing was incorrect, from the look of the plumbing somebody went cheap and bought everything at Discount Louie's New and Used.

Thanks for your comments! Hopefully it will work out OK. I'll post an update after I try it in a few days! I was posting this mainly to see if any of you had seen faucets made like these!
