Sealand Dometic Toilet # 510

I have my toilet apart to do some cleaning on it.I don't remember which way the black rubber seal goes. The hard white plastic part says this side up,but the smaller black rubber seal that goes inside the white piece has nothing written on it. It fits into the white ether way.one side is flat and the other side has a raised piece going around it.

It's been three years since I did mine , but if I recall correctly the seal opening is tapered and the slightly larger side of the opening goes against the white cupped plastic piece . ( down )

I did keep the original seal in case of emergency and will check and confirm .

I had missed seeing your pictures when I last posted ; my seals look nothing like yours .

My toilet is a 511 ; the short version of the 510 and all the paper work I have says the 510 and 511 use the same two piece seal kit ( 310048 )

Instructions from the last seal kit I purchased say ; "place thin seal against the flush ball with this side up showing " then " place thick seal on top with notch and drain hole aligned "
If the manufacturer has released a change up seal package ; I've yet to be hands on with one .
