Secondary Fuel Filter ?

I called Monaco to get parts numbers for filters and a serpentine belt. They informed me that a have 2 fuel filters. I can see the primary filter/water seperator but I cant find the second one. They told me it was accessable from the top and it was near the injector pump. After looking all over the place, I still cant find it. So, is there actually 2 fuel filters.
PS The coach is a 2006 Monaco Knight with a Cummins 330 ISC.

Hedgehog,

Yes, there are two fuel filters. Maybe someone with a 2006 Knight will chime in as to where it is located. On our 2006 Diplomat, which may be different from your coach, it is located at the right rear near where the transmission fill port is. If I open up the rear engine doors and look down into the cavity on the passenber side I can see the filter.

Hedgehog,
I had an '05 HR Ambassador (the Knight twin) with the ISC330. Both my fuel filters were side by side in the compartment that had the dash a/c condenser that swings out for access. Maybe one is behind the other?

Thanks for everybody's help. I did finally find the secondary fuel filter. It is at the very rear of the coach on the passenger side. It is below the power steering resevior and all the dipsticks. I think this filter is original because it looks old and doesnt match the one behind the ac condensor.

If the location of your filter is like mine - and it sounds like it - it is very difficult to get to, and furthermore, if this is indeed the original filter it is probably really tight to get off. You need someone with extra long arms and biceps like our friend Arnold.

The filter is bolted to a bracket and this can be removed which will drop the filter downwards. This may give you some more leverage if it's really stuck.

There should be a removal panel with a hole in it to reach the dip stick and Hyd reservoir. Just take out the 10 t0 12 screws and you should have good access to the fuel filter

Yep, just like my 2006 Diplomat.
