Serpentine belt 2001 350 ISC 8.3

The coach book says the alternator belt is a Dayco 3911581.
What’s a good brand and part number. Mine started to shed an edge and the threaded edge yanked out my oil stick and made a mess.
Looking for a good part number. Also the tensioner part number if available.

Years ago I was able to get the information for my 2002 Windsor from the Dayco e-catalog, they actually had Monaco coaches listed in the Heavy Equipment section. I searched by make/model/year.

AC .................................................. 15465
Alternator .......................................5080537
Tensioner Pull (alt Drive) ..................89103
Automatic Belt Tensioner (Alt Drive) 89406

Dayco no longer list Monaco coaches but you might be able to call and talk to a service rep. I would think that if they had the information before they could retrieve now.

The 3911581 is also listed as the 'alternator' belt for my ISC. It crosses over to this based on what I can tell.

Get your ESN (engine serial number) and go to https://quickserve.cummins.com/info/index.html . Register your vehicle. It's a great source for info on replacement parts. You can also call Cummins Customer Service ( 1-800-343-7357 ) and give them your ESN

This will tell you where your ESN is: https://www.dieselpartsdirect.com/fi...-serial-number

I crossed the Cummins belt part number over to the new Gates Kevlar belt part number. The new Kevlar belts should last the life of the engine.

From the catalog:
One of the most notable benefits of Kevlar tensile cords is that they provide better shock and impact resistance than steel or other materials. ... Kevlar also has a higher tensile modulus (lower stretch) than other tensile cord types, so Kevlar-reinforced belts experience less elongation over time

Which brand do you prefer?

I do use the cummins ap but couldn’t find the belt listed under engine components.

I went with the Gates this last time and kept the old belt for a spare in case I have an issue while on the road
