Sharp R-1850A microwave replacement

Has anyone replaced their Sharp R-1850A microwave and what did you purchase and install? Mine is in a 2001 HR Endeavor and is literally falling apart.

Is that a counter top model or is it built in the cabinets? If built into the cabinets, the trim kits are sometimes more than the micro itself and seldom can be used for the new oven.

If you can post a picture, it might help. I don't think they made that for an OTR type oven (over the range), that's where a picture will help.

Thank You for this information. Will the R-1874 TYA use the same mounting bracket?

I think it was the same but I used the new one because I bent my old one.

It is very heavy. They show you how to cut the box for a help stand. Use it. If you can use two people do so. I did not. No fun.

As 79cvx20 mentioned the Sharp microwave is pretty heavy and it took two of us to remove and replace it. Mine had the run 59 second and stop problem.

I'd suggest taking it out before buying a new one so you can have an idea about how to mount the new one.

Also on my Monaco it was held in place by two bolts through the top of the unit. I actually had to remove the cabinet floor held in by staples to get access to the bolts.
