Shock Recommendation

Hello again, I was under the coach lubing the chassis and took a good look at the shocks. Nothing visually wrong but I noticed it had the undercoating spray on them suggesting they probably never been changed. I've owned 4-years and haven't had them replaced. It seems to dip a little more than I would like on the turns.

So I am going to replace them but, I would like any recommendations you may have and worked well, or something you purchased and not happy with. I have an 07-HR 40PDQ.

Cost is not an issue as long as the quality is there.

Thnx Guys,

Well, if cost isn't an issue, I'd go with Koni's !

Koni's are great shocks, but I'd consider Bilstein's from Source Engineering in Eugene Oregon too. They will ship them to you and you can have a local guy install them.

Thanks for the responses, first I have to acknowledge my typo, Shocks instead os skocks,

So my Vehicle info plate says I have an RR8R series chassis, 8-air bags n 8 shocks. I'm only seeing 4-airbags and 4-shocks. Am I missing something here?

Regarding the shocks, in doing some research, they both have good ratings, but I think the Koni were a little better, I did look into the place In Oregon, I like the sway system they offer as well.

Just perplexed on the amount of bags and shocks.

I just put Koni's all the way around. Very pleased with the handling and ride. Almost finished my 2000 mile trip on them. Happy Travels.

Look by your tire, see what looks like a brush....air bags behind those, shocks next to air bag.

I FOUND ALL 8. Holy crap I need new glasses, I will say the fronts were well hidden, I have never noticed the very front brush. Thnx, the cost of my shocks just went up...LOL

Time for me to spend more time under her. I think next will be u joints, couple seem to have very minor seepage, but none of them have grease zerks. Only has 53K on it.

I'll order up the shocks and install them at home. Anyone have a sway system they are pleased with?

Thnx again for the responses.

You 'should' have two grease zerks on each universal joint .

No zerks on the u-joints themselves, there is one on the large round portion of the cylinder. u-joints look to be the sealed type, like on some cars. i'll look again, but I felt all around and couldn't feel any. Thnx

Get the new glasses, then look again !

Actually, since no one else has chimed in on the subject, maybe some chassis did go out with sealed U-joints.
If you have the owners manual, it will show whether yours have grease zerks or not.
