[Mod Edit]

Does anyone know what shocks Monaco used in 2007 on their rr8r chassis’s. I have a 2007 Diplomat

Welcome to the forum !

Not entirely sure about 07', but in 08' they were using cheap Monroe shocks.

Basically worn out by 20,000mi.

My 04 RR4R had Monroe from factory. Seemed pretty soft when I took them off compared to the new Bilstiens I put on. You can look them up on SDTRUCKSPRINGS.COM

Along with the other advice.

You might slide under and look at your existing shocks. Near the bottom, on my Koni's at least, there should be the model/part number. If so check both the front and rear to be sure you know if they are different. That number will then cross to any other brand you want.

Yep, they were crap. 17K miles when I changed mine to Bilsteins that were tested near Sacramento Ca on some roads I am very familiar with.

They have done well. I have one that has developed a leak.

Impossible to get any at this time. Seems everything is "backordered".

Summit Racing has the part numbers for the Bilsteins. I have tried a lot of places.

I have considered trying to measure them and order from that but the one I tried was not even close.

I hope someone will have the answers.

Not interested in Koni's. Very pricey and the Bilsteins have been great for about 35K miles now.

Funny, just got an email from Summit this AM and it seems the one shock I need is in some delivery funnel, or at least production.

I wanted to return the one leaky one for warranty but will wait until I actually receive one new one. Then the old one will go back and hopefully it will just be a spare.

It was quite amazing how bad the Monroes were and how quickly they were shot.

If someone here is real handy at how to measure old shocks there might be some alternatives out there.
