Shore Power Cable-Stripped Gears

I have a Glendinning Products RV Cablemaster that has stripped it's gears. Motor runs but will not push or pull cable. I have contacted the mfg and they have suggested that the gears are stripped. But, my biggest problem is how to I get to it in order to replace the gears?

The only thing that I think might be a way to get at the unit is to go in through the bedroom floor. There is an end table on the drivers side just over the unit. Does anyone know if I go through all the trouble of removing it, will it give me access to the unit from above?

Pat,
My guess is that access from above is not an option. Most of our rigs are constructed with a "sub floor" (not too unlike a sub-floor in a house). Holes and/or access panels that penetrate the sub floor are kept at a minimum (engine access being the main exception).
