Slide access

Now I'm looking for the best way to access the forward end of the drive shaft for the main roadside slide.

I found a box up above and behind the left front wheel but I don't think that I can get to it with the wheel in place.

I removed a couple so screws at the bottom of the fender panel but the panel resisted hinging up.

I would appreciate any advice. We are heading out on a 4,000 mile trip next week and I want to know how to access this area in the event of a slide failure. I've had several bolts shear on the curb side. I hope that I have fixed that side by replacing the bolts and adjusting the slide "timing."

See sig for my rig.

I have been pondering that question as well.

My guess is that the only way to access that end of the shaft is through the wheel arch hatch, and that it involves taking off the front wheel.

If everything fails, call these people - they will know for sure.

Yep behind the front wheel there is a plastic panel that is just screwed on with a couple od screws, you take that off and you can see the stop adjuster and the end of the shaft, I got some pretty long arms so I could reach up there and adj it but taking the front wheel off is probably easier.
