Slide locks

Ok, have a 4 slide coach (2 hyd- 2 electric). Under the bed was 4 identical slide locking bars. I can only find one hole in the wall, where the end of the bar fits into, for the largest slide. I've looked all around the other 3 slides, and the holes just aren't there.
Anyone else with similar coaches? Harry.. William?

Our Diplomat has 4 electric slides. Only the 2 front slides has 1 hole each for a safety bar. The 2 rear slides has none.

I have never, in 57,000 miles used the bars at all. I am sure that some will disagree with me,but I have never felt the need to use them.

Harry and Bill are busy right now. I think they are in the kitchen swapping cookie recipes.

Yeah, so far I haven't used any of mine either with no issues, but thinking mabe I should, at least on the hyd slides.

Henrik, did your coach come with 2 bars, or 4?

It came with 4 as I remember. I seem to recall wondering where to put them where there was no holes.

Now they are packed away somewhere safe. So safe that I also don't recall where they are

Hmmm, wonder if the guy responsible for drilling the holes, had a hard time keeping on track .

Harry and Bill in a cookie conspiracy? That's ominous.

If I manage to get a photo of them in their aprons, I will post it here

We have owned this coach for seven years and the first 5 years we did not use the slide locks. We only have two for the front slides. I read that using the slide locks would make the coach quiter so put them in. Man did it reduce all the noise from the slide gaskets when travling on rough roads. We have used the slides locks ever since and would not dream of driving without them in. We placed a red ribbon over the slide controls to remind us to remove the locks before opening the slides.
