Slide out solenoid valves

My 2002 Monaco Signature has been diagnosed with faulty slide out solenoids, HWH part number 39015. Not finding any locally, I called HWH to order four replacements. They took my order but said they are back ordered and had no idea when they might be available. HWH told me they manufacture the part themselves. Hard to understand why a company that manufactures a part has no clue when they might make a run of them.
Anyone have any thoughts on this issue? Know where I might find this part somewhere?
Thanks for any help!

Sorta sounds like maybe a pandemic labor shortage issue.

I think they are available at your local auto parts co., if they are what I think you are talking about part is 80 amp continuous solenoid, similar to early ford starter solenoids. A picture would help to confirm.

Your part number is for a "solenoid valve", not a solenoid as Outbound assumed, and I have two suggestions:

1. I was able to get some from Stuart's Service in Elkhart, IN even though HWH was out of stock. This, however, was a couple of months ago.

2. A recent (4/9/22) poster on Winnieowners.com was able to procure some HWH jack solenoid valves through AZ Pete (Paul Maddox) even though HWH was out of stock. He may have slide solenoid valves as well. He's an IRV2 and Winnieowners member who works for HWH. He can be contacted via PM or, better yet, via pfmaddox@att.net or at 602-549-3638. He publishes these regularly on IRV2 so I wouldn't be reluctant to call him.

Good luck.

BCam, your right I was thinking of something completely different, I should have googled part number, that would have sent me in the right direction.

Most of their hydraulic parts can be rebuilt by HWH, I don't know about that part. They were normally a lot cheaper and have fast turn around, who knows about that now.

I asked the person at HWH with whom I spoke if this part could be rebuilt and was told yes it can- by HWH BUT said she has no idea of turn around time, which was not a good answer for me. It made me think the people at HWH have no idea what’s going on in their company.

I don't know if there's anything unique about the solenoid, you might want to check with some local hydraulic shops. It may just need cleaning, O-rings, etc.

Did you have any luck with Stuart's or with Paul Maddox? They're still my first choice.

I'm happy it worked out. Are you replacing them yourself? We'll be interested in how it goes.

Solenoid valves

Hi Bob,
I have a mobile tech lined up to do the work but he can’t get to it for about 3 weeks so I’m checking on an alternate. I’ll tackle a lot of things but not having experience with these valve makes me shy away, especially having to crawl underneath!
I decided to replace all four valves while I’m at it, reasoning that being 20 years old, it may be good preventative maintenance.
I just hope this solves the problem!

If you have the lift up entry step with the storage bin...four screws, bin lifts out and there you go for easy access.
