Slide Roller Adjustment/Repair

Good Morning!

I plan on adjusting the slide roller on the bedroom bed slide where the roller has slightly gouged out the bottom of the slide. In doing so, I plan on using a jack with 4×4s to slightly raise the slide and insert a door kick plate between the roller and slide to prevent further erosion.

Question
I know some of you might have accomplished this repair and I was wondering if you filled the gouged out wood with anything before attaching the metal roller plate? If so, what did you use!

Thanks for your comments and have a great day!

A number of people on here had the repair done by Elite Repair and Remodel in Harrisburg OR. They use a 1/8 inch thick Stainless Steel plate on each roller track. The plate is wider and longer than the grove so no need to fill the gouged wood. I think if you call them they may give you some advise on how to do this repair yourself. Phone (541) 515-2740.

They put 3/16 SS plates on mine. They countersunk the screw holes and caulked the edges. Very professional.

Is the metal for the rollers that are mounted on the bedroom floor that eat out the wood support? Not sure on would get the wood frame out to install the metal plate. Any help apprecisted. Found wood shavings on carpet. Its a lippert sofa slide type in my 06 HR Admiral.
Thanks,
Rex

Ultrarex09,

Take a look at this link: http://www.irv2.com/forums/showthread.php?t=198241

I hope it works, as I am trying to add a link using an iPad.

Thanks Happycarz
Looks like mine. See the pics but cannot see the rollers where they were mounted in the floor. Maybe I need to take out the wooden bed frame to replace the wood and add the metal? More pic appreciated if you have any.
Thanks,
Rex

When the slide is all the way fully extended the rollers will be about 4 inches from the end of the bed box. If you get down level to the floor you should be able to see the roller brackets with singing a bright flashlight under the bed box.

I see mine was looking for yours in the pics. Thanks for the pics. Called Elite today and I need to remove the bed frames and install the steel plates for the rollers to travel on. Retired Monday so should have plenty of time. LOL
Thanks Again,
Rex
