Slide roller replacement

After 23 years my slide rollers have given up. The orange colored material on the rollers, rubber or nylon or something, has started to come off. One is completely gone, second one is on it's way out and haven't looked at the third one. I'm assuming there are just three.

Does anyone know of a video or instruction on how to replace? Looked on YouTube and didn't find anything that was a match for my setup. Also do you have a good source for replacement rollers?

Thanks for any input you can supply.

Bill

I assume this is your front living room slide? Is your kitchen cabinets in the slide?

I have a large LR slide with the kitchen cabinets in it. Attached is a parts page from my coach, mar or may not be the same as yours.

Two of my rollers are mounted under kitchen cabinets, accessible by removing a drawer and lifting the floor under the sink. These rollers can be replace from that access, the basically bolt/screw the bottom of the slide. The look like this. https://revrvparts.com/item-detail?i...ganizationId=9

The other two rollers are accessed from the basement compartment or front drivers side wheel wheel. They are covered with plastic covers. These mount from underneath. https://revrvparts.com/item-detail?i...ganizationId=9

Here's a company that sell similar rollers for a lot less money.

X2 Call Cass Hudson 800-423-1511. When I bought mine I spoke with Debbie. She is very knowledgeable and will help you. You can just replace the roller only and not the roller and bracket assembly.

Thanks all!

I ordered the Cass Hudson rollers through Amazon last night.

Now it's time to learn how to change them out. Any thought or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I removed my rollers that were in the kitchen slide to be able to clean the area underneath and the rollers themselves. unbelievable how much dirt accumulates over time. These rollers roll across tile so better to have them clean.

They were easy to remove because the screw to the slide floor form the top. I had the slide all the way out so no real weight on them.

Never worked on the front two rollers, they bolt to the floor and accessible from the basement but I think they would be about the same.

Do they need to be adjusted or just screwed back into place?

Thanks

They come out as an assembly BUT there is an adjustment screw/bolt that you can adjust the height of the slide. I'd check current height and adjust to that.

I actually had to adjust mine, the back corner of the slide started to drag on the floor. So just raised it a little and all was good.

Thanks jacwjames

The Cass Hudson rollers from Amazon arrived and weren't the right ones. Just ordered some from Veurinks. Sounds like they will fit.

The two under the kitchen area are pretty easy to access. The one under the recliners not so much. Can't see any access door in the basement compartment and it feels like the same assembly from the top.

I did find the motor for the slide and other supporting wheels. Amazing what is hidden in those plastic covers. Adding pictures just in case someone is curious.

The front roller on my LR slide is mounted in the front drivers side wheel wheel. Clearly visible, there is a plastic cover over sprayed the black sealer.

Not sure on the center roller but there must be access underneath to change it.

How many rollers do you have? I have identified three on my slide. Oh, scratch that I just found a fourth one. I have three in the kitchen, all easy access, and the fourth is under the recliners.

After looking some more I did find the access panel for the fourth one in the tire well. It is under a plastic cover and I'll have to move the fender to get access. The fender is on hinges so it appears doable. I'll have to remove some supports and cut the spray foam which I assume is there to keep the fender from rattling. But on second thought I probably don't need to replace that one. The roller is attached to the floor and the slide rolls on it vs the others that are attached to the slide and they roll on the tile, soon to be replace with LVP.

Thanks again for the info

Sounds like you have found replacements already, but for future readers, I found common pvc hose to be a perfect replacement for the orange sleeves. I can't remember if it was 1 1/4 or 1 1/2 hose but I had to press it on and it worked well until I sold the motorhome about 5 yrs later. It was a Monaco 36.
