Slide seal detached at bottom

Hi All,

The rear passenger slide seal on our 2006 beaver patriot thunder pulled away from the metal teeth on the bottom 4 inches of the seal. I can clearly see the metal teeth. I attempted to stuff it back in, but it is a tight fit and doesn’t seem to be quite grabbing the teeth. This happened because a tech put eternabong tape in the corners, but when the slide moved in, the tape began to pull up. When the slide came back out, the adhesive on the tape pulled the seal out.

Does anyone know if the seal only needs to go back on the teeth or is there a sealant involved, as well.

Thanks,
Rick

My first thought is to remove the cause, the eternabond, or it will just happen again. You can sometimes repair the seals with Black 3m weatherstrip adhesive. It makes a very strong bond.
