Slide seals

I have a 2003 HR 40 Imperial that I bought in 2016.I have replaced and upgraded a lot and the next thing I have to do is replace the slide seals.Has any one done this on a 03 HR and did you change the seal with a different kind and was it necessary to remove the slide from the rv?
Their are pieces of seal missing on some and some of the seals just don't seal and some water is getting through, these seals are the flap style.
Thanks for your help.

We replaced ours with the same years back on our '01 HR and were able to pull out the old seal by hand and then work in a new one using the butt end of a screwdriver, but still wound up with some sore fingers and hands for a few days.

I have replaced the flap seals for both slides on my 2000. Extend the slide box about half way, spray a little water in the seal mounting groove for lubrication, and your biggest problem will be moving the ladder. A large screwdriver or pry bar is good for leverage when you need it.
