Slide topper/Companion Awning

On my unit I have slide toppers over both the living room and bedroom. Just had a shade guy here at FMCA Rally tell me they will come down more after unlatching and attaching unseen awning pulls to the side of the coach. I have no idea how to do this and don't know what they are called in order to do a search on Carefree. I know someone out there in Monaco land has the answer. If you need a pic, just ask. Thanks

This is my maiden voyage. So far so good. Coach has performed flawlessly! Next Sunday after the Rally, we are heading for cooler temps on the Oregon coast.

Just a guess, adding another latch point.

Hi, we have had our 2003 Diplomat for about a month, and just this week noticed the extra pcs on the topper covers. There are tubular angled pieces at each end of slide cover roll, if you use the "pull stick" to nudge up the white plastic knob that is sticking out on each piece(only moves about half inch) the shade can be pulled down, ours however had no visible straps to pull so with ladder, Phil unrolled them out by hand until strap emerged, voila, extra shade, awesome. Our fix was to buy some black sunbrella tape and add to the pull strap so when they are rolled up, the ladder isn't required each time. We are learning everyday..
Oops, Jimbo 2013 has great info
