Slidelocks 2002 Monaco Windsor

Hello fellow RVers! My Monaco Windsor (40PWD) has automatic slide locks built by Dewald Mfg. The internal tension springs broke and I have thus far not been able to find replacements. Dewald Mfg. was acquired by Power Gear Corp. which was acquired by Actuant corporation.(Yea, I know!). I would like to find a dealer that knows something about these, I.E. schematics, part #s, better yet actually have these custom built springs in stock. Thanks, Mike

If you have an unbroken spring, you can take it to a custom spring manufacturer and they should be able to make one for a few dollars. We have a local place here in Norfolk that makes all kinds of springs.

I know this may sound like a dumb question, but did you check with Monaco parts. I have been able to get parts from them that really surprised me that they had them! Also, folks on here have posted names of dealers who stock a lot of old Monaco parts. See below:

Veurinks RV | Holiday Rambler Motorhome Dealer | K-Z RV | Dutchmen Infinity RV | Kodiak RV and Aspen Trail Sales

Home - Beaver Coach Sales and Service - 62955 Boyd Acres Road Bend, OR 97701

Northwest RV Supply

RV Supplies and Accessories | Bontragers Surplus Inc.

I'm sure there are others, these are just ones I saved in my "Favorites" .
Good luck & God bless!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
