Slides on 2007 Navigator
I just bought a 2007 Navigator. I noticed that both slides on the passenger side do not extend to the walls. They both stop about four inches from the wall. The slides on the driver side extend all of the way and stop about an inch from the wall. Is that normal?

No, that doesn't sound normal. Are you sure that the slide isn't going all the way and it's just the surrounding trim that isn't flush? I think on mine when the slide is extended there is still a gap around the edges of the trim pieces, but the slide is fully extended. Also check and make sure that there isn't something hidden down by the floor that is stopping the slide from travel, like a roll of paper towel or something. I had the guys at Elite RV and Restoration in Harrisburg, OR adjust mine and they found remnants of a roll of paper towel that at some time had fallen in behind the kitchen slide and got crushed.

The trim is what is four inches from the wall on both passenger side slides. The slides could be all the way out but looks funny on the inside.

Can you see, or feel, if the inner slide seal is against the wall?

Sounds like it's not extending all the way. Could you take a pic of the wall where the slide is?

That is how one of my slides appears. It seems like it isn't out all of the way, when it actually is. It threw me off when I first got it.

Sorry Dick, I should have gone out to the shop and looked at mine before answering. I see what you are saying and yes my bedroom slide appears the way you describe but that is the way it is made because of the scissor mechanism. I was thinking of our previous fifth wheel that fit tight. All is good go have some fun!
