Smart wheel functions circuit breaker?

Starting from home on Saturday, the cruise control didn't work. I just figured it was the same problem the dealer had with the cruise control last spring. On the highway today, heading into possible rain, I pressed the wiper Button and the wiper didn't work. The air horn also doesn't work. All on the smart wheel. Does anyone have an idea of a circuit breaker that might have popped and where it is? Thanks!

We are on Hwy 81 South in Virginia - maybe there's a mechanic in the area?

There should be a VIP Smart Wheel Controller in the Front Run Bay. https://www.imminet.com/immi-vip-whe...oubleshooting/ You need that model number to see the correct troubleshooting manual.

In my SM211 controller I remove the J2 connector first and then the other connectors and reinstall J2 last. That has fixed my wipers.

maybe the clock spring (the electrical contactor) under the steering wheel that sends the electrical signal from the button press to the smart wheel controller is dirty or worn.

Sounds like the clock spring to me. I had similar issues intermittent cruise and the wipers sometimes worked and sometimes wouldn't until they didn't work at all or if I did get them going I couldn't stop them. Clock spring was an easy replacement.

First thing I'd do is remove the plastic shroud at the base of the steering column. Then check the wiring harness going up the side, there should be a wiring harness connector, check to make sure it is connected tightly and then check the wires to make sure there is no damage.

Then start looking at the controller and clock spring.
Soon after we bought our rig I had to change the radio. My VIP controller was under the dash behind the radio and I had inadvertently pulled a wire and one wire came loose from the pin, when I found the problem I could tell this had happened before since it was a shoddy repair. I soldered the wire back onto the pin and all was good. Doesn't take much for the Smartwheel to quit working.
