Smart wheel no functions.

Hello everyone we have a 2006 dynasty. I just replaced the 210 smart wheel circuit board with a new one from vip. Reason being was the headlight connectors were melted and I soldered wires to the board and I think I may have ruined something on the board because I had no functions at the steering wheel so I put the new board in and I still have no functions at the wheel. Any help would be appreciated.

Here is the troubleshooting guide from IMMI (VIP). The SM210 supersedes the SM209 so reference the SM209 if you don't see a SM210 specific reference.

Good luck!

Thanks I have the troubleshooting guide and went through all of the board checks. Going to move onto the steering wheel buttons. The part that puzzles me is that I didn’t make sure everything worked before I attempted to fix the headlight wires. So now I second guess myself if they stopped working after I put the coach away for the winter.

Can the 210 controller be used in place of the 209?

Yes, the 210 is a direct replacement for the 209. It has a higher amp draw capacity through the relays and possibly larger traces on the circuit board.

QUOTE from the IMMI (VIP) Website: "The SM209 controller has been superseded by the SM210 controller. Any revision SM210 can be used to replace an SM209. They are plug compatible and no changes are required to make the substitution."

Yes that’s what I got new from VIP. I highly doubt my board is bad from them.
