So what's up with the bypass indicators

Another question about the DD series installs.
What I assume to be a hydraulic system bypass indicator pops up red no-matter what I do.
Not sure if I am reading that correctly, push the black button down, after about 1 minute it pops back up (engine running of course) with the red disk. Shown here, top of housing, right side of the filter assembly.

Perhaps it is not a bypass indicator at all?

Note, EVERY one of these I looked at recently at Lazy Days was popped up red also so it is not just me. All DD series 60 installs

I did change the filter and cut open the old one for inspection, perfectly clean inside, zero junk in there.
Anyone have info on this thing?

Thanks
Windecker

Dynasty's too...since new, and never an answer from tech. It is filtering though, I cut one apart after changing it.

The indicator may have gone bad. If you can identify its operating range (part number on indicator, etc.) this would be a good time to replace the "pop up"style with a visual indicator that provided more information.

Thanks, that is a GREAT idea.
I will look into that for sure.

Also, would you know where to get a new regulator for the tag axle? Mine leaks a little, looks like just standard 1/4 NPT inlet/outlet, knob, regulator and gauge.

any standard (shop/painter's) air pressure regulator will work (as long as it rated for pressure up to 140 psi). Amazon has a bunch to choose from -
such as https://www.amazon.com/PRESSURE-REGU...egulator+1%2F4
