Lightbulb Somfy Curtain Motor

Have a 2006 Holiday Rambler Navigator. Somfy motor to open/close front window curtains operates very slow plus will not completely close. Curtains stop at curve going to front of window.....thoughts?

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined us!

I would spray some dry lubricant into the track!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Once you get the old motor out call these guys for a replacement. The motors are made by Simu. Make sure you're sitting down.

You might be able to set the limits in Somfy by toggling the button in a certain sequence. Look at the model number and google it.

I have a 3 button somfy controlled sunscreen for my RV port. I changed the material and had to change lower limit to unwind screen. Resetting upper and lower was a bit of a challenge though.

I have roll shutters on the house and those limits are set with Allen wrench, like the door awning on the coach.

Hopefully, it is one of the two ways.

Be sure to take a voltage reading at the motor while the shade is moving to rule out low voltage for slow opening/closing.

Yep. Very expensive. Mine started acting up and then stopped functioning altogether. Very expensive to replace new. I took my old one to a local small motor repair place and they looked at it. They said it wasnít worth repairing. So, I just close my curtains manually now.
