Sony back up camera

I have a 2003 monaco windor that has the color sony backup camera model vcb-mh1 that has just quit on me.I have pulled the camera and plugged it in directly to the monitor and have volume but no picture,it looks like I will be replacing the system. My question is has anyone does this being the sony is a 6 1/4 in screen and most aftermarket systems are 7 in monitors, any feed back of a modification or type of system you recommend.

Thanks

How do you know if it's the monitor or the camera? You need to check farther. Does your camera have RCA jacks? What monitor do you have? Does it light up? Lot's of questions.

The monitor does not have rca jacks just the 3 camera 6pin jacks, the monitor has 12v power and you can hear the volume from the camera, just no picture from the camera or from the trip-tek computer.

Thanks

This is an old post but wondering if still around, what was the outcome. I have same exact issue and have found a replacement camera for $325 which is crazy since Sony camera and monitor are apparently obsolete. I would like to replace with something more affordable as I am trying to sell this RV. Any ideas or recommendations?
