Speedometer Fall out

My RV is: 2007 Holiday Rambler Vacationer Diesel.

My odometer went from over 54,000 Miles to 3400 during a trip. I had it looked at the REV Corp located in Indiana and they said at the time it would take two weeks to send off and return for $1200.00. We did not have the time nor the money to do that. They read the millage through the computer at 54662. The odometer has continued to work from the 3400 mark and now has registered a total of 14693 so current mileage is 69355 unless the 3400 is subtracted.

I recently had to cancel an extended warranty because Good Sam would not accept the millage added from the ODO and the REV Corp. The Odometer shows currently 14593 and I had miles on the trip meters which allowed me to take back to zero. The reset button has trip 1 and 2 along with a transmission temp indicator in "F- degrees" which also works. It is just the mileage that I need help/reset to current mileage.

I have contacted several companies that advertise speedometer repair on the web and no one will touch it. REV inc said it is a Medallion Interment System P/N 6913-00279-19. They won’t return my calls or answer my request for help.

If anyone can help please contact me at oscar410@yahoo.com

If the Speedometer works, then I would not sped the money to fix the Odometer (I assume it's on the same gauge).

You could add an external Hub-odometer if you want to. You can order them with a preset miles reading (or just get it with a starting reading of 0).

But I would use the engine hours reading from the ECM (or Aladdin or whatever system you have) to schedule maintenance and for record keeping.
Maybe I'm just cheap.

I would contact Medallion Instrument Systems for repair or replacement:
https://www.medallionis.com/contact-us/

(800) 828-8127

They are still making instruments for RV's.
