Speedometer Problems

I have a 2000 HR Imperial, powered by a Cummins ISC 350. During a recent trip we had to be towed to a repair facility due to a failure of an Injector Pump which necessitated removal of the drive shaft. Upon completion or the repair, I noticed that my Speedometer was off approx 12 to 13 MPH (Fast) verified by my GPS unit. The tachometer is reading correct and the cruise works and maintains correct speed. Any thoughs on how to correct this problem would be appreciated.

Hi tucdc, I have the same coach as you. Removing the drive shaft and towing should not have anything to do with the speedo. On my coach the speedo used to jump every once in a while and sometimes would read fast. I was told to check my grounds in the dash and found one that was loose. Now it seems to be working fine. It was a flat braided ground cable that ran along under the steering column. Good luck.
