Splende Washer/Dryer Question
Does the Splende Washer/Dryer have a lint filter? We have not been able to find one, and the manual makes no mention of it.

There is a lint filter in the water system, it can be accessed by removing the bottom front panel and unscrewing the cap. The air exhaust does not have a lint filter, at least on mine it does not.
Back about 6 years ago I moved my Splendid forward dot check the dryer hose to make sure it wasn't plugged. There was some lint buildup but not bad. I did by a dryer cleaner brush on a long flexible snake that I can push through the outside opening and loosen any lint build up. When we run the dryer I will occasionally watch the exhaust to make sure it is pushing decent air flow.

From the Splendide site:
Cleaning the Drain/Lint Filter
How To:
Models WD802M, WDC1024M, WDC1025MCEE - Your lint filter is located behind a small door in the lower-right, front corner of the machine. A clogged drain/lint filter can prevent your machine from draining properly. To eliminate this risk, clean the drain/lint filter regularly of the lint and debris that naturally accumulates from washing/drying clothes. View Filter Cleaning PDF (35k)
(NOTE: WD802M Vented models may also have an optional dryer lint screen installed at the dryer vent attachment on the back of the machine. If installed, this screen should be cleaned regularly to optimize drying performance).
WD2100, WD2000S, WDC6200CEE, WDC5200 - Forget about cleaning a lint filter! Your machine is so gentle to fabrics that only a small amount of lint is produced. Because of your Splendide's revolutionary pump system, this lint passes safely out the drain (and out the dryer vent in vented models). No maintenance required!
We have the 2100 which started to give us an overheat error when drying. It was necessary to remove the vent hose and flush it backwards with water. We now do the prescribed cleaning cycle a couple times a year to prevent having to do this again.

Are you having any problems with it?
Call Westland Sales / Splendide
@ 503-655-2563 and ask for service adivce. They are very helpful.
I had an issue with our 2100 XC - mid wash all but one of the lights was blinking and the clothes were wet. They emailed me these instructions for clearing lint that was restricticting water fill levels. These instructions are not in the manual. And you will be surprised how much lint rises up out the belly or the beast in a lint free modle. Note - this takes a while and there is no visible line across the glass on ours. So I wasn't sure how high to bring the water level. Settled for about 2 inches above the tub line and up the glass. This is not a fast process because you have to let the #12 cycle through and then repeat. But it sure makes a difference!
Cleaning Instructions for Splendide 2100XC Clothes Washer/Dryer
1. Without clothes in the unit and with the dry time off, place the cycle selector on
#11 and push start. When the water stops entering the unit and if the water is not
up to the line across the glass, hold the start button in until the unit stops (Resets),
then push start. Repeat this process until the water in the unit is at the correct
level.
2. When the water level is correct, hold the start button in until the unit stops
(Resets), move cycle selector knob to #12 and push start. Allow unit to complete
cycle.
3. Repeat this procedure 2 more times.
4. Unit should be cleaned once a month using this procedure. In addition, using an
extra rinse cycle on every load also helps with lint removal.

We have a Splenide 2000. Attached to the top left rear (at the exhaust tube) there is a exhaust filter (shown in fig. 6, page 3). I believe this is now an option (referenced on page 4), so yours may not have it. You have to be very careful when removing that it doesn't drop down behind the machine. . I attached a string to our just in case.

We have the Splendide 2000. That's where ours is - lower right hand corner. Love this machine!

My wife uses this procedure about twice a year. She was having trouble and called Splendide. They emailed her the procedure and we have it taped inside the cabinet.

The screen at the bottom is a drain screen to protect the pump and filters the water. The lint screen for the air exhaust is located at the rear top left.

Thanks all, this is what I needed. We have not had any problems, but we have two border collies traveling with us, so everything is covered with dog fur. I will check those filters and will use the cleaning procedure.
