Stange Power Reading from Transfer switch

I have a Surge Guard 41260 with the power control system central monitor panel.

Lately I have started to get some strange numbers popping up with the worst being it was showing 150 volts on L1 and 84 volts on L2.

Quite often it will go 121/124 to 130/115 even though outside at the post is is showing 122/123 (confirmed with multimeter)

Also I always use the a 50 amp portable surge guard outside on the post.

Portable Surge Guard with LCD Display, 50 Amp - TRC 34850 - Surge Protectors - Camping World

Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I'm thinking I may need a new transfer switch box.

Just wondering if anyone has any ideas what could be causing this.

Have you done what should be a yearly maintenance check and tightened all the wire connections on your transfer switch?

Had a chance to check out the voltage at the transfer bo tonight. My reading in the coach was 127v on L1 14 amps and 115v on L2 7 amps

The input at the box was 119 and 122
Output was the same.

Neutral and ground should be connected together at the post. It sounds like they are not connected or you have a problem in the portable surge guard.

150 and 84 is not good. It is also indicative of a poor neutral connection either at the far end of your feed-line or at your transfer switch. Notice that 150 and 84 add up to 234, which should be more like 117 on both legs to neutral. The fact that the neutral has shifted that far suggests a poor connection in your neutral coming into your coach.

Check it out. It could be in the plug at the end of your power cord or at the coach end of the cord, or the transfer switch. It is not likely that it would be in the breaker panel, as your sensing for your coach monitoring system should be in the transfer switch where it can access both the generator source and the shore power source.

Good luck in your troubleshooting.

150+84= 234 close to 240 well within specs for 240
You have a weak or open neutral.

Thanks for all the replies. I put a new end on the coach's shore power chord and that tightened it a little but was still getting a 9-12 volt variation.

SO I plugged in to the site next door and and we are down to a six volt variation which I would think is normal depending on the draw. With no load it floats from 124-124 to 124-121

This was the 2nd park in a row where I had power problem.

you could have a bad shore line reel if you have an electric power cord reel check it out mine did that and the one lug was bad.
