Joe it is a little micro switch like the door micro switch that operates the steps, I cant remember where it is NC or NO but it is Opposite of the door switch and A expensive little devil. The micro switch is stuck to the steps operating mechanism with 3M tape.

Few more quesitons.

NC or NO.. I am not familiar with those terms.

Also you say the micro switch is attached to the mechanism .. That would put it under the coach ..

Does it have any particualar wires to look for..

Thanks,

Don

Don NC Normally Closed, NO Normally Open.
You will see a little grey or white plastic thing about 1 inch long and 1/4 inch wide with and have two wires coming out of the micro switch probably grey you will have another part that is the magnet the same length and also about 1/4 in wide with no wires. get under the coach at the steps and you can locate the micro switch, unplug both wires and plug in your voltage tester and dial to continuity test using a magnet against the micro switch see if it is working or opening and closing. I feel sure it is a bad switch, just remove by pulling the 3M tape loose and leave the little magnet alone it is probaly ok if it is still there but if the magnet is gone all you will need is a magnet.
