Stereo/TV speaker wiring

Found this forum while researching my problem, so nice to find a place with like minded people.

I have a 2003 Monaco Winsor 40ft. It has a Sony radio and at some point it had a DVD/VHS player. Both are wired to speakers set around the RV (3 in front, two in back, and a subwoofer under the table.

The DVD/VHS is gone and the stereo only plays through two speakers. I'd like to re-wire them to go to the TV and stereo.

Would anyone know where I can find a schematic of the wiring and possibly a short explanation of where the wiring runs and how to access it?

I would call Monaco's customer service, but if your coach is like most RVs, there are no schematics available for stuff like speaker wiring.

Welcome And glad you're here.

REV Group now owns what's left of Monaco, and they're getting less and less helpful in supporting our legacy models. As you probably already realized, you found a great resource here. So stick around!

Not exactly the same coach (2009 Camelot), but here's a 'similar-to' wiring diagram that should get you started. I'm someone will come along with your version in a little while.

Ttinuse-

First off, welcome to iRV2!

Second, you should add a "signature" to your profile. It contains whatever info you want; most people put info about their coach there, so they don't have to type it into each message. Instructions for adding a signature are here.

Regarding a diagram, the one at this post (for a 2004 Neptune) may apply to your coach.

Here is the wiring diagrams I received from Monaco when I sent in a request about 4 years ago. From what I hear Monaco is not nearly accommodating for such requests.

Good luck, I still have all the original components except for the radio, they work fine so I don't intend to fool with them.

Thanks Everyone, The posts have been very helpful and one of the diagrams looks a lot like my situation.

My current configuration has the original DVD/VHS speaker plug disconnected in the left cabinet and the radio, which used to play through all the speakers, now only uses the two rear ones.

I'd like wire the TV and fix the radio to use all the speakers so the advice and diagrams will be very helpful.

My hope is to wire the speakers to a surround sound system with a switch for the TV/Radio. I also plan to remove the TV cabinet and build something custom. If all goes well I'll post progress .

On my 03 Windsor I have a switch that allows me to select tv or radio .
When I select tv the tv plays through the surround speakers .
When radio is selected of course the radio plays through those speakers .

This sw is the first of 4 switches to the right of the dash radio .
See if you have a switch there .
