I taped a pop bottle cap over the switch with duck tape.

....often its the simplest explanation for a problem.....unfortunately, I go to the most complex/expensive "solutions" first.....seems I am in good company as many responses on this forum start out the same way....oh bother....

I have yet to find a use for that switch. As far as I'm concerned, the salesman could take that switch with him when the sale is complete.
Take care,
Stu

Salesmans switch is normally used to shut the coach down for winterizing if you wish to leave the batteries hooked up. I have used it several times to reset the systems on the coach.

I am a certified electronic tech and got tripped up by the saleman switch one day. Happens to many of us.
It really has more drawbacks than benefits as far as I am concerned.
My solenoid has gone to electron heaven.

Looks to me like we should think about adding a pilot light to salesman switch, any color but red, it would give us a quick check for on or off, glad you figured it out before dismantling your coach.

My Endeavor salesman-switch had an on/off light. Guess what failed a long time before the relay itself?

Was at a campout where one of the campers son had removed the salesmans switch for some reason or other and bypassed the solenoid. Half of the dash did not work. Suspect there was more than one solenoid hooked to the switch.

Welcome, you have found a great forum. Lots of helpful folks with an unbounding depth of knowledge.
One of the best tools on this forum is the Search feature. Just type in a bit of your question and it will take you to pages of information gleaned from this forum.
I am not trying to suggest not posting any questions, please do but keep in mind it may have been answered a hundred times and someone that has answered it before may not be inclined to do a big response.
The little green box above and to the right area as shown in the picture is the search box to use. Ignore the other little search line below that. It is useless.
