Surge Tank Leaking

2000 Monaco had a leaking surge tank when parked is when I noticed it also had a low coolant light. Pulled the surge tank, getting the gold wire 1-1/4" hose off was a real task. But with mission accomplished inspected the tank and found no obvious failures. Pulled sensor off and reinstalled Teflon tape and did the same for the overflow return lines. Took to a local radiator shop and pressure tested it to 20#, cap is rated for 16#. There was no leaks below the max line which seems to lead to the sensor or the hose (which I highly doubt). There was a small leak at the seam where they installed the filler neck assemble, which is a insert to the tank. Moral of the story is it is getting reinstalled with a new $50 hose. It beats the $400 replacement tank I hope.
