Tag pressure and ride quality
I've driven my 09 Camelot 42KFQ for 36,000 miles with tag pressure set at 45 psi. I've always felt that the coach wandered a bit and added a steering stabilizer two year ago. Some improvement, but still wandered some, but I got used to it.
But, I decided to try something, and lowered my tag pressure to 40 psi and it seems to have helped the ride. I also drove through a weigh station and found that with normal load and 40psi my front axle weight was 14,350 lbs, just a bit under the maximum. So I can only surmise that I was overweight on the front axle for the first 36,000 miles.
So just how much impact do you think tag axle pressure has on ride quality? Do you think I should try lower, say 35psi?
