Tag pressure and ride quality

I've driven my 09 Camelot 42KFQ for 36,000 miles with tag pressure set at 45 psi. I've always felt that the coach wandered a bit and added a steering stabilizer two year ago. Some improvement, but still wandered some, but I got used to it.

But, I decided to try something, and lowered my tag pressure to 40 psi and it seems to have helped the ride. I also drove through a weigh station and found that with normal load and 40psi my front axle weight was 14,350 lbs, just a bit under the maximum. So I can only surmise that I was overweight on the front axle for the first 36,000 miles.

So just how much impact do you think tag axle pressure has on ride quality? Do you think I should try lower, say 35psi?

I have weighed mine several times at different pressures from 28 to 42 psi and have also drive it at several different pressures. The only difference I have felt in ride quality is the tracking of the front wheels. For me I have settled on 42 psi to get some of my weight off the drive axle and to keep the weight on the steer axle within limits. The big thing is if you change tag pressure then you have to adjust tire pressures also. Yes it makes a little difference in steering but for me that difference disappears after I drive a couple of hundred miles and get used to it
