Some of the pics I posted earlier aren't there because I accidentally changed the hosting location. I never had an issue with the gears, only the power contacts that I had rebuilt.

Yes, made contact with him (Jon) about the drive gear for the RV 5036
TDI power reel.

He said the same small gear is also used in the plumbing hose reel
as well.

Also came across an ad he placed selling those parts on CraigsList.

I had the same problem. I just wired it direct and got rid of the shoreline reel.

The fix has held for over a year so far.

So without a reel you just hand coil it in the space where the reel was mounted?

Is that much of a hassle for you?
