when we selected our new coach one of our wish list items had to be thrown out.... HID Headlights.... for some reason that i can't explain i really like to drive at night... if i'm in route to somewhere i prefer to sleep a couple hours and drive all night or until i get tired... i rented a deluxe japanese car for a week one time and it had HID headlights and ever since then i've been hooked...
well a friend saw our new coach, and he complimented us on our escalade headlights...
the next day i looked up cadillac escalade headlights on the net and they looked nothing like mine...
my friend didn't tell me he was refering to 2003 to 2006 escalades... 07 through 09 are the same as pictured to the right ...
knowing what car model make and year the parts that Monaco chooses to use on it's motorhomes is valueable... i looked up cdillac escalade HIDs on ebay and found just what i wanted $139 right assembly $159 left assembly.... they'll be here weds. of next week... and now i'm guilty of having pimped my ride....

headlights are not the only non stock item that i will be adding.... i've already had elkhart change-out the black and white TV in my dash for a color LCD....
then i had them ad an auto start function to my generator.... my salesman was mistaken when he said i already had the auto start with auto time out feature...
