Well, after four grueling years of having my schwintek slide mechanisms repaired and serviced I finally called the factory in Goshen, Indiana. They told me they would inspect and repair the slide and it would be a 'permanent' fix! They scheduled me for a Tuesday morning at 0700 and told me it would be repaired that same day! After leaving it in various shops for months at a time, I was not thoroughly convinced. A doubting Thomas for sure. Well, low and behold at five-fifteen p.m. they called me and said it was ready to pick up! I was astonished. I went the next morning and went through the repair with the tech who has been there for most 40 years. He said that Monaco had mounted the vertical rails about one inch out of parameters and that was causing binding leading to the demise of the motors! They replaced several parts which had been chewed up, reinforced the wall cut out and balanced the slide room. Everything was looked at, lazered, lubed and adjusted. They worked almost two hours overtime to ensure it was completed in the promised time frame. Total bill was just over $950.00. I am so thankful to them for sorting this out.Justin and Danielle were paramount about making it happen and my hat is off to the Lippert professionals. The slide is working great, and if I have future troubles, Goshen is a nice little town to spend some time in !

This is a common problem with Schwintek slides, when they first came on the market they provided the manufacturers with almost no engineering guidance on installation tolerance, etc. The result was a lot of sloppy, improperly installations, Schwintek slides get a lot of bad press because of this, as well as owners not doing proper inspection as to catch these problems before they chew up the slide racks.

Can you provide some more information, how long did you have to wait for the appointment, any type of warranty and will they work with extended warranty company's. I'm waiting for my 3rd schwintek triple track fullwall slide repair under extended warranty and they won't approve Vroom, so stuck for 3 more years.

In answer to the above comments, the phone number for an appointment at the factory in Goshen is 432-LIPPERT. They were very helpful and an appointment was set up at Factory 51, in Goshen and it was three weeks out. A one day repair because they have the parts and the knowledge to get it done quickly and professionally!
Warranty repairs? They will get prior authorization for the repair if you have an after market warranty plan, as I do! Then you pay for the repair. Lippert will provide all of the required paperwork when the repair is completed. You will then file the paperwork for the repair and if you have an honest and supportive plan, you will get reimbursed by your warranty company.
About 'Vroom' slides. Looks like a great product! I wish I qualified to have one installed, but I spoke to the company owner and he (and she) said they only work on slides up to 5 years old, and they don't sell aftermarket so I can't buy a Vroom system and install it locally. That's a shame.......Thanks and keep it between the ditches! Happy travels.

May want to reach out to Patriots RV Garage in Aubrey TX just outside Dallas. They are a new vroom authorized service center. Don't believe they have the older RV limitations as Brian Vroom has in place in Tucson.
