I need some input from everyone here, please!

I sometimes wonder IF I have made this forum too social and fun. It seems we don't have as much technical stuff as we used to... or is it that we have MORE social stuff than we used to.
So...I would like everyone to take a poll...

By the way...your answers ARE anonymous

I think the only problem with this forum is that MonacoMama keeps offering salmon as her dinner dejour...to visiting guests. Can we get something else on the menu for us non-fish eating people. Something like meatloaf, mashed potatoes and cornbread.

SacsTC....what else can she cook that is good?

In all honesty the social climate of this forum keeps us from getting into nasty put downs that occur on RV.NET.

I really enjoy the mix of social and technical... I love hearing about people's trips and some fun, along with some serious problem solving!

I also like the Mix. Somtimes I feel left out because I am on the East Coast. I still need to head that way. I do enjoy the changes people make. Some of the small changes are the best. I think we could use more of that. But over all I am a HAPPY CAMPER

I totally ENJOY reading about the antics some of you are up to. I also think if someone has a problem or questions they will post it and hopefully within a short time someone will reply with a possible solution to it. I vote for keeping on with the social atmosphere.
Yes, I do wish Ronboc would contribute more, he is a riot.

More technical and get rid of all those icons or whatever you call them in the text. My interest in this forum is purely technical and otherwise have a social life.

I would say to keep it as it is, fresh, frendly
unlike "the other site"...Oh yea I love meatloaf, mashed potatoes too. For us New to this world of rv's the tech mixed in is great
and very helpful.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. This forum's free exchange of information in a civil manner is extraordinary. We all bring something of value every time we post a message. I personally get far more out of this forum then I will ever put in. I have tried other forums and they just don't measure up with this one.

Keep on doing what you are doing.

I may be from the old guard of forums where I like my sub-forums categorized and consistent. While I don't mind contextual-socializing, I think that there are plenty of sub-forums available to handle most everything that comes up. I use to run a pretty large forum, and that was one of the biggest tasks for me and my admins - keeping stuff in order (and banning spammers).

What has happened to me is that this forum has become more "Monaco Owners Group" than Monaco technical information. While that is fine, I find myself not going into the other forums as much, as I know the people that I am familiar with will post in here. I have kind of isolated myself from the rest of the forum community, as my "people" are all posting in here.

Like I said, nothing really wrong with that if that is what the group wants. Personally, I think it would be better to socialize things with the larger group (ie. General Discussion or Just Conversation), use MH - Problems, Solutions & After Market for general "house" issues, and the Monaco forum for Monaco-specific questions/solutions.

There is a fine line sometimes - does a SaniCon issue go in the Problems forum or the Monaco forum? Rethreading a power hose reel? Who knows, but for me, they usually end up here because I know one of you guys will read it and I won't be ignored

Just my nickel -
