Thermocouple for Invertor Bay

Hello All, I am trying to find a replacement thermocouple (round about the size of a dime with two terminal ends for 12V connection) It’s located in the inverter bay of my 07 Knight. The thermocouple is used in conjunction with an exhaust fan in the bay when the temperature reaches 120-130F. It activates the fan and cools the bay down to a safe operating temperature for the invertor.

Last year I upgraded to a Magnum Pure Sine Wave Invertor. The unit has worked great and certainly eliminated some major noise problems inside the coach. However, during the past summer the invertor started to flash indicating that it was overheating. In trouble shooting things I discovered that the thermocouple or the fan is probably the culprit...The fan works great, so I believe the problem is the thermocouple.

I am trying to find a supplier for the thermocouple. Has anyone replaced this item and where did you purchase the new one.

Thanks

You might give Mega RV Parts a try. They have them for the bay heater.

Dave,
I just replaced my snap disk thermostat with a 100 degree unit. Check the following URL.

eBay Store - Electronics-Salon: Wholesale Items, Axial 1 8W, Axial 1 6W

You want to search for a NO contact. Contact makes on temperature rise.

That is not a thermocouple it's a thermostat if I'm not mistaken.. Check out electronics parts stores in your area, that's where I get mine. These are not consumer oriented stores. they are the kind of stores where Joe's TV Repair shops
