Looks like you bought the last roll, Vito. Amazon sez they aren’t available anymore.

Did y’all notice much heat buildup on the strips or housings when you switched over? I did my entire Endeavor with LEDs, but tore them back out when I found the LED strips got very hot. Couldn’t connect them directly to the housings for a heat sink, or they’d short out.

If you’re concerned about exceeding the 12v rating, you can add a 7812 voltage regulator to each light. I did this in the lights I converted to LED strips; it’s a bit of a pain but gives you piece of mind

I also replaced the switch on some of our fixtures with a SPDT 3 position switch allowing a high/low setting by only turning on some of the strip on low. On the bathroom light and the one above the kitchen sink, the low setting only turns on three LEDs (minimum number of LEDs) to be used as a night light (left on but low power usage).

I would check out their web site and see what you think.

X2 on the LED tubes from M4 Products. I thought that they were a little pricey at the time of purchase, but they seem to be of very high quality with built in aluminum heat sinks. I think that I have had them for about 2 years and so far I’m satisfied.

Ditto on the tubes from M4. You can trust their quality, enjoy great customer service, and get great warranty backup. Worth a few dollars more to me.

Update: I am very happy with Thin Lite LED replacement units I bought. They fit right into the screw holes / cut out of the previous florescent units, generate much less heat (our pantry cupboards aren't hot any more!), and the two-stage light is awesome -- more light for less electricity.

Hats off to you guys who installed the LED strips. I have three young kids and no time, so I am willing to pay for a plug-and-pay solution, as long as it doesn't break the bank.

I am looking forward to not having to change bulbs and seeing the drain on my house batteries get even lower now that almost all of the lights have been converted to LEDs.
