Climatic: When you replaced your shocks, how many did you replace? Just the four in front or all of them? What is the part number for those bolstering?

Stan&Jacquie, this thread is mainly about the rr4r chassis which only has 4 shocks, 2 front and 2 rear. There was a thread recently about the shocks on a rr8r chassis. I have a rr4r 4 bag chassis also, so I'm sorry I can't help you.

Looking at replacing my shocks with the Bilstiens but they list my 05 HR Ambassador plq 40 as a rr4r chassis and all I have read and the brochure says it is the RR8R. Do I just order for that vs what they say?

See if a shock is listed for the '05 Knight. It's an exact twin of your Ambassador. Should be the same as an '06 or '07 of either coach. Should take the same shock as a Diplomat or Endeavor which are also on the RR8R chassis.

That is what I did, but if you go to their website they list it as an RR4R chassis for the ambassador or Knight. I think it's just an error on their webpage

The Ambassador and Knight were built on the RR4R chassis through '04. Your '05 was the first year on the RR8R. Just use the Diplomat/Endeavor which were also on the RR8R.
