Tire speed ratings

I've notice several people asking about the speed ratings on MH tires.

This is the chart I found. My tires are the Goodyear and are H rated. It's near the bottom of the chart. Can this be correct?

I believe you are looking at the load rating as a g and not the speed rating. I recall reading most heavy duty (ie motorhome) tires were 75 mph rated.

Hi Chad

Thanks. I knew something wasn't right. Why would they rate a truck tire so fast.
After your message I finally found the speed ratting. It's 75 just as you say.
Now I know.
Rick.

Don't have to worry about that, I don't drive above 60!

The Toad is limited to 65 and my pocket book is limited to 60. Higher speeds equal lower MPG. So any tire rated to at least 65 is fine with me.
