I just replaced my tires last year with the Michelin XZA2 Energy and love them. I was going to replace them with Bridgestone R250's because I had them on my last two coaches and really liked them. The only reason I went with the Michelin this time was because with the FMCA Michelin Advantage program I was able to get the Michelin's cheaper than the Bridgestone's I was looking at.

Personally, after having both the Michelin and the Bridgestone, I don't think you could wrong on either, however, I had the R250's. I am not personally familiar with the FS561's.

Mike.

Consider the Sumitomo ST709 in your size. We have 6 on our coach. We've driven about 15k miles, with the last 10k being in the last 9 months, and love them! Good price, smooth ride, quality tires.

Thru FMCA's Michelin buying program, your tires are only
$ 495 each, plus tax, mounting and balancing.

I just put a set of FS 561's on my coach a year ago. I have about 7000 miles on them and am very pleased with them. Mine are Firestone but Bridgestone owns Firestone so same thing.

Have had almost nothing but Michelin tires on our RV's, have never had a flat, excessive cracking even after 8 years, nor a blowout. The only blowout I've ever had was a GoodYear on the rear of our '97 Jeep GC.

I just installed the FS561's on the front and Double Coin on the rear. Since we are only weekend RVers and go on short trips this was the most economical way to go. $2600.
Theses will go past the date code before I'll ever wear them out.
Just a thought. I bought them at a Les Schwab dealer.

Put 6 Toyo's on our coach recently. They ride great. Got a great price at an online tire dealer. $1800 for 6 with tax and shipping. Had them shipped to my tire techs and they installed for $35 each tire.

Here are some prices I got this past January in Lexington, KY. I went with the Bridgestone R250ED and I couldn't be happier. Smooth quiet ride.

Tires 275/70 R22.5
01/15/16

Costco
Michelin XZA2 or XZE2+ $3,516.62 or $586.10ea (No Mount, Bal or Delivery to installer included) When I checked these were cheaper than the FMCA's Michelin buying program.

Bob Sumerel Tire
Bridgestone R250ED $4,214.34 or $702.39ea (Tax, mount and Bal)
Continental $3,890.00 or $648.33ea (Tax, mount and Bal)

S & S Tire
Bridgestone R250ED $3,540.94 or $590.16 (Tax, mount and Bal)
Michelin XZA2 $4,637.60 or $ 772.93 (Tax, mount and Bal)

The Bridgestone FS561 is actually a Firestone FS561 Tire. Firestone is a subsidiary of Bridgestone.

Im in the same boat as the OP. I have an 04 Dip and was thinking of upgrading to the 295 after some reading. The problem is the more I read the more confused I get. Load ratings, steering vs rears vs all arounds.... Prices range greatly. I looked at that Toyo link above but I know what size will not fit mine, the bigger tire on that has a lower than I "THINK" we need load rating...

I've used the FMCA program three times, love it. Michelin is the gold standard of RV tires.

[Full Disclosure: No tire is immune from flaws/failures. A fellow airline pilot put new Michelins on his Foretravel, had a steering blowout in the first year or two. His response was, "I've never worked so hard, during any engine failure scenario, to save our lives as I did that day, trying to control that bus." While he didn't touch the brakes, he didn't apply power to offset the turning moment.]
