tires
It looks like I need tires on my 42' Monaco. Is there any recommendations?

I would get Michelins through the FMCA Advantage program!

I have had great luck with Bridgestone but they are not cheap , just about
as high as Michelins .
Many people are reporting that Toyos are very good so that's what I will
probably buy next time .

I've had Toyo M144's 295/80R22.5 on my coach for a year and couldn't be happier. They ride very well and since I had to up size to an 80 profile I can run lower air pressure for a slightly softer ride.

The FMCA discount program has both Michelin and Continental. Both are great tires. Most of us will never wear out a set, they will just age out.
I would avoid the Goodyear G670 and Michelin XRV (but the Michelin XZA2 Energy is a great tire).
You can check out FMCA pricing even if you are not yet a member.

Just put the Toyos on our 6 months ago, replacing Michelins. I am happy with them.

Hey, 1doodad, where did you get that price? I paid ~$3800 for 8 in OR where there is no sales tax and thought I did great. Good deal!
Another ++ for the Toyos: 2.5 years, over 20K miles. Replaced Goodyears, which are, IMHO, junk. The Toyos ride better, handle much better and hold air.
Cheers,

Hey Bob, I know several people and this one has been very good to me and sold them close to cost to me. I buy all my tires from him along with all my kids, good close family friend. Also paid $200.00 for the install with balance to the total of $3325.00

I purchased Michelin tires through the FMCA program several years ago to replace the factory (junk) Goodyear tires.
The Michelin tires were a huge improvement, although in fairness that is when I learned the importance of weighing the coach and setting tire pressures accordingly.
When these tires age out in a few years I will definitely keep an open mind about considering the Toyo's after reading this thread from well respected members.
It has been a few years ago so I can't remember exactly, but I know I paid WAY MORE for the Michelins even with the FMCA discount...and that was years ago!

After having 2 sets of Michelin's sidewall crack at the 3.5-4 year point, I went with Toyo M144 and am very pleased with the ride, and especially the price.
