Tires, Tires and more tires…..what to do?

After the dreaded Death Wobble I am replacing ALL 6 tires on my 2011 Vesta.

Question of the day? Goodyear or Dunlop? I am in a bit of a pickle as we have a trip planned and are leaving this Saturday. Seems that the only tires I can get locally are Goodyear and Dunlop.

2nd question? Dyna beads how important are they? Seems neither place that I can get these tires installed have them.

3rd Question? Alignment sadly no one locally can get my RV in their bays. How important is the alignment after the "wobble"?

Thank you in advance for any guidance!

side note: This is our 1st RV and it is bringing back memories from my boat owning days

we put on four AH12s last sept and two steer AH12's last feb.
hankooks.
i used balance beads (equal) WOW WOW WOW, talk about smooth riding and not wobble

I like the tires and so far have about 2400 miles on them
I was so happy, my neighbor took a ride and replaced all six of his out of date michellins on the tiffin

price point was just under 130.00 less on each tire than the goodyears they replaced.
i was so happy that i replaced my hub caps with nicer flashier styles. I was loosing fronts about every other trip.

these puppies SHINE and arent coming off

If you are considering Michelin tires join FMCA for 40 bucks and save hundreds off the tires. I got them for my jeep using this program.

I looked at those caps, but it would cost $1,000 for all 6 that I need and I've got better uses for that $$ due to the DW's medical bills!

What was done to correct the death wobble? This will help to answer the alignment question.

Why do all six tires need replacement due to having death wobble?

Tires may or may not be the reason for a death wobble...
it could be alignment, or tire pressure or front end...

to your next question, I didn't do the dyna beads but did put centramatics on the front end (their home office is just down I-35W from me)

The drive tires are currently Goodyears and there is obvious signs of "rivering" so they HAD to be replace and the back tires are 5 years old so I figured I would just replace all 6.

Everything I have read it sounds like the the Death Wobble may have been caused by the condition of the front tires. At least I am hoping that's the cause. I have only had this coach 30 days.

Go with the new tires, Centramatic wheel balancers and a good alignment.... Your safety is too important to do it halfway.

Could also be a sticking brake caliper and/or brake hose/rotor issue if the "wobble" is intermittent- Have the shop check the brakes when you get the new tires. Good luck.

On target for 6 new tires tomorrow and alignment on Friday. As suggested here I will also have the brakes checked while the tires are off. Fingers crossed all goes well since we are leaving for our Florida trip on Saturday morning. Nothing like cutting it close! If this doesn't fix the issue I am certain the family will leave me and the RV on the side of the road
