Toggle switch lights

On the 2008 Monaco Diplomat 40' PDQ, there is a switch panel next to passenger seat. The panel contains toggle switches for step cover, Map light, passenger shade, and step light. These switches appear to have indicator lights on the switch. The wiring harness contains an orange wire with 12v IP LT printed on wire. This source wire feeds the step light switch first, then the other switches. There is no voltage on this orange wire. Does anyone have any experience dealing with this panel and particularly the indicator lights.

Thanks for looking and trouble shooting assistance.

Check to see if you have power to the orange when the headlights are on.

X2 I believe you at least need parking light on.

"IP LT" equates to "Instrument Panel Lights" and would be the same wire that powers the dash lights, originating from the headlight switch.

With headlights on, still no power to IP LT in console next to passenger chair. Plan to open step console to get better access.

No volts at molex connector for IP LT at wiring harness behind step IP. Are there other in line fuses I need to check?

That wire snakes its way through an opening below the console, under the floor, above the suspension, back to front run box, then to the headlight switch. I don't know if on your coach the yellow wire connects in the front run box, or directly to the headlight circuit.

If you took off the left console plate where you have switches there, you should have the same yellow wire. You could start there and trace it both back to the switch and down through the floor (under console) on its way to other console.
