We've towed a 13,500 trailer running 1600+ lbs tongue weight for over 100K miles with an 04 Sig 40' Detroit Series 60. No hitch issues at all. Same year Beaver coach Roadmaster as your Nav is rated at 1500/15,000. I was told on the QT not to worry, it was just cost prohibitive to test and rate all options.

I do inspect everything on a very regular basis.

It isn't the weight that is the issue, it is the constant up and down forces that damage the walls of the motorhome and the frame.
Would using an air safe hitch eliminate this 100% ?
