Towing 2006 Endeavor
Can anyone tell me if the RR8R motorhome can be towed with the drivetrain off the ground and the steer wheels hitting and rolling along the highway?
I always thought it had to be either towed with the front and the drivetrain disconnected or put on a low boy?
Looks like my MH may need a $1000.00 tow job to get 'er finished.
Thanks

I don't think anyone would tow it like that today. No way to secure steering wheel. Many moons ago I was a tow truck driver and we would tow that way but secure seat belt through steering wheel. No one I don't think would do that today with a motorhome. Either front off the ground or low boy.

You will overload the front axle and tires if you do it that way.

You are in for a shock. $1000 for towing a mh won't take you very far. You really should have a low boy.

What problem do you have that requires a tow? Maybe you can get it fixed onsite without a tow.

If the engine runs, the tow operator can reliese the parking brake manually, and be able to move the RV by driving it, for front end towing.
Its called caging the spring brakes.
Don't do it on a hill, it will roll away.
Once ready to tow, he will need to remove the drive shaft or both axle shafts.
