TPMS max/min settings
In the past we've travelled during the dark months, and spent the hot half of the year on our boats at the lake. Well, at the end of last summer, we agreed that the boats were taking more time to maintain, especially the houseboat ... and we sold everything. (except for 2 blow-up kayaks that live in the RV basement).
Probably providential, since our planned Christmas trip aborted after 250 miles and the engine rebuild cost $40k ... almost all of the boats sale proceeds.
So ... now that travel in the hot months can/will happen, it's obvious that I need to make adjustments to the RV TPMS. Bringing it home some 160 miles yesterday, I had 3 tires screaming at me. The first startled me as I'd checked the tires and all pressures were at spec (105psi) ... but a quick glance showed it was an overpressure ... one of the tires had hit 130psi. Had never happened before, but I don't think I'd driven on a 90 degree day.
In the next 20 minutes 2 more tires alarmed at 130psi.
So ... my question .. what do y'all use for a max/min buffer for pressure and for temperature? I had thought allowing 25 psi for the top end, and 20 psi for the minimum would've been sufficient. Well, after finding that going with 10% high and low resulted in constant alarming.
