Tracing cable coax to Dash TV

I have a 2008 Monaco Diplomat 40' PDQ. I'm cleaning up the mess in the electronics cabinet above the driver. I have a Samsung Smart TV. I've removed the BOMB. I'm trying to identify the park cable connections in the rear electrical cabinet. I have two coax connectors there. Does anyone know where these cables are routed? I would assume one at least runs to the electronics cabinet above the driver. However, using a coax continuity tester, I'm not finding a connection in that cabinet. What am I missing?

I've identified the OTA antennae with connections to front and rear tv. Just working on cable at this point.

Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

Tony

Hi Tony; I had a similar situation on the used 2001 Windsor I purchased on 2015. I had a satellite dish involved with an A&B selector so was trying to find the cable connection that was in the wet bay up to the switching box next to the TV up front. You mentioned the rear electrical cabinet park cable connections! Are these in your wet bay or another location? I found, with a tracer, the cable from the wet bay, I only have one connection there, to the front switching box, was routed through the A&B selector for the satellite. Also I have a park cable connection on the passenger side of my cargo pass through bay. That connection went to my bedroom TV and up front somewhere. I still have not found the other end of that connection. I have read on some of the cable traces that they will not pass a signal through splitters so do not know if you are having that problem. On the factory diagram for my 01 Windsor it shows a splitter going forward in the passenger park connection. I think that is why I can't find the other end heading toward the front of the coach. I hope someone out there will have a diagram with the cable routes as that would help a lot in your situation.

You should have a wall plate somewhere up front (ours is above the driver) that has a red LED and a pushbutton. It allows you to switch from the over the air antenna coax to the park cable coax that comes in from the wet bay. Coming out of this switch is a coax that then goes to your audio video cabinet.
There may also be another coax that then goes to your rear TV.
Hope this helps!

Used home FIOS coax cable as signal for park cable and attached it to the coax adapter in rear electrical cabinet. Was successful in identifying the other cable end in the drivers OH cabinet. Connected correct coax cable to FIOS cable box with HDMI to TV. Also inserted the Winegard Sensor Pro to verify the pass through of the cable signal. Have now identified cables for OTA and cable. Now I can get on with the design of MCD front windshield shades which requires cabinet mods.

Many thanks for the replys.

I have a 2008 Endeavor 40 SKQ. Not a huge difference but where is your tv located? Mine is in mid coach but that said my two cables go to the cabinet over the driver. One to the box with the little button on it to switch from park cable to the over the air antenna. The second cable was for an external Sat dish. Just a straight through coax connected to a plastic patch panel in the cabinet.

Not sure what kind of signal tracer you are using. If it is one you must connect directly to the coax it is not helping you so one that sends a signal along any wire and then has a sniffer may be a better option.

Research fox and hound signal tracers. Around $25 or lots more if you want a really tough one.

I have the same coach l guess I’m lucky as all my cables were marked from the factory. I did away with the bomb also one thing to note the hook up for the park cable and the satellite hook up in the back bay are reversed.
