Troublesome water leak

I have an 07 Diplomat that I am having a water leak at the hose reel connection. I replaced the hose and re clampled it to the reel connection however it continues to leak around the hose end. Tried some different clamps and some cpvc adhesive and still no luck. Anyone have any experience with changing out the hose on a reel?

Check the gaskets?

If this connection is a simple hose to an un-threaded pipe with a hose clamp, it is important for the hose inside diameter to be the same as the pipe outside diameter. If this hose pipe is a good one, it should have several ribs on the pipe, which make it hard to put on the hose and gives the clamp something good to press the hose against.

Either of these or both is likely your problem. Generally speaking, with a good clamp and enough torque, you can stop a leak like this. One other thought, if that pipe is plastic and not brass, it could be cracked.

I would agree! I replaced the hose with a new fresh water hose identical to the one removed. I would have felt better if I would have had to force the hose over the connection. Talked to an RV dealer service guy said put silicone sealant on connection slide the hose on and clamp it. Then he handed a clamp for free. Did the same so far not leaking. Will contact TRC the mfg after the weekend. Thanks for your input!
