Turn signal multifunction lever

Was just thinking about one of my pet peeves in the coach regarding the turn signal lever. I really don't like that it clicks off so easily/soon... often times just a very small steering correction will trip it and cancel the signal. I really don't like that behavior.

I'd love to have one that is like what's in an 18 wheeler that does not click off at all until I manually cancel it.

I'm wondering how much of a hassle it would be to change it out or if modifying the existing switch so it doesn't shut off would be better... or maybe I just suck it up and live with it LOL

Anyone else have the same pet peeve and modified their signal switch?

Mine is the same, it is annoying but I don't have the cure.

My air ride seats put my knee close to the turn signal switch arm. I would like to find out the manufacturer of the steering column to see the how to take it apart. I want to bend the arm to get it out of the way.

On our Hummers the turn signal cancel was a small plastic (upgraded to metal) piece on the switch. The plastic piece would wear resulting in a no-cancel condition. If the one our our rigs are similar that piece should be easy to remove. The cancel is done with a notched plate on the steering shaft that basically pushes the switch back to the center position.
